The Connection You Didn’t See Coming!

I love high heels. I love dancing. But dancing in high heels? Let’s just say it’s not my usual move!.

Years ago, I found myself in a very unexpected situation—walking (okay, dancing) down a runway in stilettos for a charity event. I had agreed to support a corporate partner, thinking I’d be helping raise funds… not realizing I had just signed up to model in front of a crowd!

To make matters even more interesting, the event organizer decided I should go first—introducing me as “Foxy Roxie” (yes, that happened). With no way out, I had two choices: panic or own the moment. So, I danced my way down that runway—and to my surprise, every other woman followed my lead!

Yep! That's me leading the group!

Why?

Because they were my friends. I had spent years building real relationships—ones based on trust, support, and a whole lot of laughter. They knew I had their backs, and in return, they had mine.

That’s the magic of genuine business relationships. They’re not just about deals and connections; they’re about people who will cheer you on, step up when you need them, and sometimes, dance alongside you in ridiculous shoes.

So, who’s in your corner? And when was the last time you stepped out of your comfort zone with them? Let’s talk about building the kind of relationships that make business (and life) more fun, fulfilling, and successful.
